Store any leftover cooked beef patties in an airtight glass container inside the refrigerator for up to three days. Keep the buns and fresh vegetable toppings separated in their own bags so nothing gets soggy. Freezing fully assembled burgers is not recommended because the bread breaks down completely in the freezer. Reheat the beef patties in a skillet over medium-low heat with two tablespoons of water for 5 minutes. Cover the pan with a tight lid so the trapped steam warms the meat without drying it out. Check that the cheese melts beautifully again and the center is hot before assembling your fresh sandwich.
